Poppy and Shortcake are the best of buddies.

I can tell that we are going to be friends
I can tell that we are going to be friends

My parents—NeeNee and Poppy—are here, visiting from Arizona, for the week. They are old and weak fragile, and need constant supervision, so I’m a little too busy to be blogging right now.
Just kidding. My mom is training for a marathon here, despite the frost (her nemesis) on the ground while she runs, and my dad has essentially taken over all the childcare of Shortcake. Plus, they are cooking and cleaning and paying for things. Yeah. It’s tough.

that is why grandparents are the greatest invention. enjoy.
Bar the door! Don’t let them leave! Anyone who stays in my house, watches my kids and pays for things is never leaving. Ever.
H E L P !
oh, that pic is adorable. dad looks like he’s really into that book! i’m sure that the cold air of WI is refreshing for them after cooking in an oven for a few months.
If I have another odd synchronicity with you I’m going to scream. And possibly move my family to your street, there on Wisteria Lane.
Besides stepping in dog poo on the same day, Miles and I were JUST talking about how Jack Johnson covered the White Stripes in aforementioned song. Like 10 minutes before I came to see what kind of chicanery you were up to.
Btw, my parents live two doors down, pay for things, mow my grass, send down casseroles to the weak new parents (I’m milking this one at 7 months) and volunteer free child care, but I only let them do it at their house.
I’m getting far too comfortable here.
